💷 £15,624 per annum (£26,040 FTE)
⏰ 22.5 hours per week (3 days out of 7 on a rota basis)

As part of our growing retail portfolio, we opened our Furniture, Fashion and Donation Store in Shepshed earlier this year. This flagship-style store offers a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious retail professional to support its continued success.

At Rainbows Children's Hospice, we provide specialist palliative and end-of-life care to more than 750 babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions across the East Midlands. We're here to brighten short lives and support families when they need us most.

About the Role

As Assistant Store Manager, you'll support the Store Manager and Deputy Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the store, taking the lead when required. You'll help drive sales, maximise donations, deliver outstanding customer service, and ensure the store remains welcoming, professional and well-presented.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the achievement of income and profit targets
• Assisting with promotional and seasonal campaigns
• Maximising donations and maintaining a consistent flow of saleable stock
• Promoting Gift Aid in line with targets and procedures
• Monitoring stock turnover and supporting furniture sourcing
• Contributing to the effective coordination of collection and delivery services

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Experience in a retail management environment
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to motivate and support a diverse team
• Confidence working towards financial targets and budgets

Desirable:

• Experience of working with volunteers
