Rainbows provides expert end-of-life and palliative care for babies, children and young people at our hospice, at home or in hospital – supporting families across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire. Last year we supported around 1,000 Babies, Children and Young People, and approximately. 3,000 family members, including families, siblings, and carers, across. Simply put, we’re here to brighten short lives and support families wherever they are.
This vital work would not be possible without our dedicated Income Generation and Marketing Team. Through fundraising, events, communications, and supporter engagement, the team plays a crucial role in generating the income and awareness needed to ensure Rainbows can continue providing outstanding care and support to babies, children, young people, and their families. We’re excited to announce an opportunity for an Events Coordinator to join our Events Team who organise a variety of fundraising and supporter events to help fund Rainbows’ services!
Working Hours and Location: This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday) based at our Hospice in Lark Rise, Loughborough. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required to support events.

About the role
As our Events Coordinator, you will support the Senior Events Officer in delivering fundraising and awareness-raising events. You will help coordinate our established programme of events, including the Derby Cathedral Abseil, Santa Run, and Skydive, while also contributing to the development of new opportunities and experiences for supporters. These events are designed to maximize income, participation, and engagement, helping Rainbows provide vital support to babies, children, young people, and their families.
